There is something almost grotesque about the dancing figure. The assertion that he likes to dance seems incompatible with his disfigured physical form. He has no audience but me. He seems defiant, but pathetically defiant. He is ill suited to perform what he most desires to perform. Perhaps it is enough that he and I know he wants to dance. I'd pity him if he didn't remind me of me.
[this is good]
This is another batch of scribbles that didn't show up in my neighborhood feed. I'm glad you posted them, though. I like what you're doing with color. It makes the scribble you sent me look so...well, uncolorful. I might need to buy a colorful one to add to the collection. Let me know if you ever draw one that features a monkey reading a book or shopping for records. I might be interested in that one.
The dancing figure doesn't look happy, does he? His body is contorted and stiff-looking, and the lines around his face could be excitement - or frustration - or anger - or fear. only the dancer knows. but he says he likes to dance and at least the words look happy.

He might not just be dancing for you. He sees spotlights in the trees.
I do have a monkey scribble that I never posted. Something about him didn't work for me. Maybe he is just missing a book.

I am sorry that your scribble looks drab now. I can't remember when I sent it to you, but it must have been long before I started working with color since that happened only very recently. I used to think that colors complicated things. Now I enjoy the extra complication.
