Officially, I've had better days

ugh! That totally sucks!!!

Some idgit hit and ran my parked car but it wasn't as bad as yours. My car, on the other hand, was so old that I didn't bother to fix it. I was always nervous a cop would ticket me for having a bad bumper but the lights all worked. I'm not ever sure about the laws on that because to be honest, I didn't want to find out it was illegal cos I'd have had to fix it then. I do super-high deductibles, too. :(
You have my sympathy and I feel you pain. Several winters ago a guy lost control of his car on ice and slid into the side of my parked vehicle while I was at a Christmas party. It bent the frame of the car making it officially totaled. Guess what my Christmas present was...and I only had to pay for it for 5 years at 3.5% financing.
Sorry to hear about your car. I think it's the "Proud to be a Democrat" bumper sticker that did it. An angry McCain supporter probably targeted you specifically.
Accidents are stressful anyway you slice them. My car was new and reliable enough that I wanted to fix it, but it just wasn't in the cards. Even if I didn't want to fix it, the poor thing wasn't drivable. Here's to better car karma!
Thanks for your sympathy Orlando. I guess a car that you have to pay off for 5 years counts as a Christmas present... :) And at least no one was in your car, right?
I thought it might have been my bumper sticker too! The way the other must have swerved to hit my car almost makes it seem planned. People are pretty upset about Obama & the Dem's quest for 60 Senate seats. Also, the chewed up square in the middle of the bumper is an Amnesty International sticker, and I have a Sierra Club sticky in the back window. My car's gotten spit on before for all of my librull stickers, but I can't believe that someone would ram into it because of them. Right?
