I know how you feel. I am a teacher but I am also am artist/illustrator/whatever. Trying to find time to draw is hard if not impossible but I loved what you said,...
"The light at the tunnel (to use a hackneyed phrase) is knowing that one day I'll be arting (drawing) full time."
To try and find some time to draw now and still fulfill my role as a teacher, I created "The Visual Art Society of Dwyer". They announced it today on the school network. I am hoping to bring in young artist to encourage them to pursue their talents and Dreams as well as tp find my own time to draw.
P.S. I love your doodles and this one is no exception. Usually your doodles are full of facial expressions but in this one you seem to be expressing what's inside of your character. The world is full of beautiful things such flowers but your face reflects what is inside of your.
This is my favorite scribble from a staff meeting. We sadly haven't had a staff meeting for a while at work, so this is also one of the last scribbles I did at work.
Thanks Orlando! And so sorry for the delay in responding. I hope your "Visual Art Society of Dwyer" works out well for you and that you are able to find more time to make your own work.
I've been doing pretty well on that front this last week. My job also seems less imposing now that my work is going well.
It seems, though, that I can only keep so many balls in the air at one time, and vox is the ball that I've been dropping lately. Ah, well. Better Vox, I guess, than art!
